Take A Cup of Kindness Yet-January & February Activities!

Happy New Year!

With the start of the year we are exploring people and places around the world!  We are finding where different places are on the map.  We are sharing about our family traditions and foods during music time. In class students will learn about Martin Luther King through song.  We have learned all about:

  • Rhythmic Exploration: Being able to recognize and clap simple rhythms after listening

  • Repeating the Solfege (Do-Re-Mi): Adding the challenge of also singing it backwards

  • Encouraging Sharing Opportunities: Chances to trade or share instruments during music free-play

  • Creating their own intervals with a synthesized keyboard

Use puzzles to teach geography. Explore crafts that represent the beauty of diversity. Try crafts that require teamwork and share about the gifts of community. Have Fun!

Check Out: The New Song: It's Martin Luther King Day,  Our Story Time Book: Blueberries For Sal, &  the Felt Finger Puppets: Around the World ( 7pc continent shaped finger puppets) All for purchase to use after music class.
